SOA P/CAS 1 Exam Prep Program

 

Exam PThe SOA (Society of Actuaries) Exam P/ CAS (Casualty Actuarial Society) Exam 1 Prep Course is now available through UCF Test Prep.  This review course is 16 contact hours in length and is designed to cover all pertinent material for the SOA Exam P/CAS Exam 1.  The ACTEX Exam P Study Manual is required for this course. Participants can order ACTEX Exam P Study Manual from the ACTEX website directly (see below).  Course content to be covered: general review of exam material is planned for the first day of seminar; the review of exam problems is planned for the second day of seminar.

About the Instructor:

Wu-Chyuan (Gary) Gau, Ph.D., ASA, is an assistant professor of the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Central Florida, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in actuarial models, loss models, credibility theory, and related areas. Dr. Gau received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Boston University in 2003, and became an Associate of the Society of Actuaries in December 2007. Professor Gau has published several papers on Credibility Theory and Loss Reserving.
