The SOA (Society of Actuaries) Exam MFE/ CAS Exam 3F Preparation Course is now available through UCF Test Prep. This review course is 21 contact hours (3days) in length and is designed to cover all pertinent material for the SOA Exam MFE/CAS Exam 3F. The ACTEX Exam MFE Study Manual is not required for this course, but may be useful.
Course Content and Structure - 3-day seminar:
The general style of the course will be to review a formula or theory, do related problems, and then to move on to the next theme. The ordering of the material will be as in McDonald’s Derivative Markets with any additional notes from the SOA included at the appropriate points. The assumption will be that participants have a basic familiarity with the material, though perhaps not mastery, and that minimal lecture augmented by problem solving will cement concepts while preparing directly for the exam. Materials provided at the seminar, but bring your text and other notes as desired.
